- On April 21, 2017, our Lord welcomed home Sidney H. Beauchamp, Jr., 80, of The Landings, Savannah, GA.Known as Sid to his many family and friends, he is survived by the love of his life, Barbara his wife and best friend for 56 wonderful years. Sid is also survived by his four sons, Gregory (Laura) Beauchamp, Canton, MI, Michael (Robin) Beauchamp, Mound, MN, David (Diane) Beauchamp, Plymouth, MN and Stephen (Susan) Beauchamp, Geneva, IL.
Affectionately known as Pa by his 14 grandchildren, he enjoyed teaching them his passion of golf but more importantly how to live your life as an honest, sincere and respectful person which is how he lived his life every day.
Born on Valentine's Day February 14, 1937 in New York City, Sid honed his Southern charm and drawl growing up in Clarksburg, WV. Sid graduated from Xavier University (Cincinnati, OH) in 1959 and then proudly served his country as a Naval Lieutenant until 1963.
Sid had a successful 31 year career at Ford Motor Company holding an extensive number of Ford Division Field and Executive Level positions and establishing many professional and personal relationships with both Company peers and dealers throughout the country.
Sid loved golf "fore" many years especially during his past 21 years living at The Landings which included a tenure as The Landings Club President where he oversaw a number of golf course improvements.
A Funeral Mass will take place at St. James Catholic Church on Friday May 5, 2017 at 11:00 A.M.
