Within a few years her husband and all her children have died, and now she is extremely ill with a disease that is difficult to cure. There is much sympathy felt for Mrs. Truitt in her great affliction." Denton Journal, August 28, 1915, page 5: " Mrs. B. P. Truitt, of Washington, formerly of Denton, died on Monday, August 23. The funeral was held on Wednesday. Her husband died in March, 1910, and then one after another the children died, all the family now being dead. Mrs. Truitt had many friends and acquaintances in Caroline county."
